Future Day at Cloudogu: IT insights for the next generation

On April 3, 2025, we at Cloudogu opened our doors again to eight students from grades 5 to 9 as part of the nationwide Future Day (a German action day that gives young people an insight into the world of work). The aim was to give the young people an insight into the world of IT.

Practical insights into the world of IT

The participants experienced a day full of discoveries:

Software development is teamwork: They learned that software development involves much more than just programming and encompasses many different roles – from understanding the requirements to testing. They themselves took on these roles in a small project.

Agile working with Scrum: The agile process model Scrum was presented, which is based on short development cycles and enables flexibility. The day's program was based on this principle, with planning, implementation and presentation of the results.

Programming with Scratch: The young people gained their first practical programming experience with the visual programming language Scratch and developed a small game. The results spoke for themselves. The girls and boys programmed a game with different levels, added boosters or a countdown.

Shaping the digital future – together

As a company that is actively shaping the digital future, promoting young talent is important to Cloudogu. We want to show how diverse and exciting a career in IT can be.

A variety of paths to IT

Whether it's an apprenticeship or a degree program, there are many paths to IT. There is no single “right” path. People with different professional and educational backgrounds work together successfully in our teams.

We hope that the Future Day sparked the girls' and boys' curiosity and opened up new perspectives. We would like to thank all participants for their commitment!
